These records contain a card file in which information is abstracted from certificates issued on approved preemption land claims. The cards give the name of the claimant, the number of the certificate, the date of the warrant, the date of the certificate, the district in which the claim was heard and approved, the number of acres allotted in settlement and in preemption and, if given, the book in which the grant was recorded and the name of any heir or assignee.
